Upward Basketball and Cheerleading - The 2011-2012 Upward Basketball and Cheerleading season for K-6th graders is about to begin! You can register in the Commons Cup today or register online by going to fbccabot.org/upwardbasketball. Early registration (by October 15) is $75 for basketball and $70 for cheerleading. After that date, the cost goes up $10 for each. Other important dates: Evaluation day is October 15; practices begin December 1; first game is January 6 and awards night is February 27.We also need lots of volunteers to help make this program run smoothly each week as they play basketball and cheer! There are sign-up sheets for volunteers in the Commons Cup. SIGN UP TODAY!

Fall Family Camp Weekend Petit Jean State Park, October 21st -23rd - A limited number of camp sites are still available for our annual Family Camp experience. The cost is $20 per family. Please contact Bro. Greg in the Family Ministries office (843-5472) to reserve your site. Remember only a limited number of camper and tent sites remain so call now!

Mission House Makeover - You can be a part of freshening up FBC’s Mission House and all you have to do is what you already do all the time: go to Wal-Mart! We already have willing workers to do the painting, repairs, etc. but here’s where we need your help. We are registered under "fbc missions" for all the items needed, from paint to pillows, and we need you to simply purchase whatever you are able to help with from that list. This house has been a blessing to so many and this is a great and easy opportunity to play a part in that ministry. We will have a shower NEXT SUNDAY, October 16 from 2-4 pm in the mission house to drop off your items.

Pictorial Directory - ADDED DATES We only do this every few years as a church family and it’s simply one of the best ways to keep up with the new names and faces that are all over First Baptist. So please go to the church web site or call the church office to set up your photo session for the new church pictorial directory. Slots are filling up but we would love 100% participation in the church family. It only takes a few minutes and you’ll be glad you were part of it. It’ll be years before we do another one. A few additional dates have been added, if you have not already scheduled your appointment, or need a makeup day. These dates are October 25 & 26.

Women’s Trap Shoot - Ladies of First Cabot, be sure and save Saturday, November 5th for the second annual Ladies Trap Shoot! More information to follow. This is an excellent opportunity to bring an unchurched friend or family member for a lot of fun with Christian women.
