“There’s an app for that” has become an iconic phrase. These incredible tools help make everything convenient. You can get an app for your bank account, finding movie times and restaurants, directions, and following the news. I even have an app that turns my phone into reading glasses! Apps have become indispensable little tools that impact our lives. The most important life altering app however is the Bible. God has given us the most practical and useful tool, touching every aspect of our lives.
In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Paul tells Timothy the Bible “thoroughly equips” us. In other words, being equipped for the Bible is being equipped for life. During the next 40 days, we will learn 6 different “apps” for studying the Bible. Each “app” will teach you a simple but effective way to study Scripture and unlock its infinite power for your life. A workbook is available in the Commons which guides you each week with an explanation of the app and practice lessons to hone your skill. Both our Sunday morning messages and our Lifegroup times will also help in learning to use each app. Join us in learning to use these “apps” to unlock the most important “app” – the Word of God.
