Welcome and thanks for visiting. When you step on our campus, you may feel overwhelmed. It is rather large – and so you ask yourself; “Where do I fit in?” Our answer is a LifeGroup. My goal is to help you personally connect in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and the body of believers here at First through our small groups. It would be my privilege to help you find your place – so let me answer a few questions, and then you take some time and look at the information, click on some links and then feel free to contact me if I can help you in anyway.

What is a LifeGroup?

A LifeGroup is a place to connect relationally and grow spiritually. It is an intentional gathering of individuals who are working together towards becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, while developing authentic Biblical friendships.

Why should I join a small group?

A small group isn't just one more thing to add to your already busy schedule. It's a place to learn and practice foundational truths that will impact every part of your life. A place to learn more about what part God has designed you to play in His kingdom. A place where your faith takes on hands and feet, and real life expression.

Not only will you make friends, but you'll be able to ask the hard questions about Christianity and know you're accepted. It's a place to love and be loved, and challenged, by others at different points in their faith journey. You may want to visit several groups before deciding on the group that's right for you. That's okay.

What do you do in a LifeGroup?

Each LifeGroup is unique. Most small groups include a time for growing friendships, intentional prayer, studying God's Word, and reaching out to meet the needs of others with a mission mindset.

What do LifeGroups study?

Every small group studies the Word of God, but in different ways with questions, discussion, and shared insights. The materials are designed for discussion and personal application. Each week we have what is called “First Look”. This is a personal Bible study tool that prepares each member to learn to study the Bible on their own, while preparing them for more personal interaction and application when they meet with their group. You can download each week’s First Look from this page.

Where do LifeGroups meet?

Right now, most of our small groups meet on the church campus during the 8:00, 9:00 or 10:30 hours on Sunday morning. We also have groups that meet off campus in homes at various times throughout the week. We have new groups forming all the time, so chances are we have a group meeting that is perfect for you ... or we could start one!

How can I get involved in a LifeGroup?

You can feel free to visit any of the current LifeGroups that you find listed. Sometimes it is easier to allow us to help you, by getting to know you and making some suggestions and introductions. We encourage folks to feel free to try a couple out until you find the right fit for you. You can always contact Pastor Hooper, or visit the Welcome Center on campus on Sunday morning and someone will be more than happy to assist you.

Let us help you find a place to connect and build lasting, meaningful relationships.
