Bulletin Items for April 22-28, 2018
Do Not Worry - FKW Performance - Next Sunday
“Do Not Worry” is not just the title of this spring’s presentation by First Kid’s Worship - it’s also the message. And it’s a message we all need to hear. From dealing with physical challenges, to the loss of a loved one, to difficulties at home… this is the life we live. And it’s the life that kids live, too. Please come Sunday evening, April 29 at 6:30 to hear about the victory over worry that our children have discovered.
First Kids Worship is excited to announce a new “first!” This year we will be taking our first group of kids to Joyworks, July 16-20. (If those dates sound familiar to some of you, those are the same dates as PraiseWorks for our students. The two events are held simultaneously on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia.) Joyworks is a worship arts camp for kids having completed grades 3-6 and, in addition to the mass choir, offers six exciting tracks for learning: guitars, black lights and movement, drum circle, drama and storytelling, art, and sign language. Cost is $215 and the deadline for registration is June 1. We are so excited to be able to offer this opportunity as First Kids Worship continues to grow!
REAL Students need you!
Need to do some Spring cleaning in or around your home? Like to help students go to camp this Summer? Why not do both at the same time! The student ministry is looking forward to opportunities to assist church members in and around their home. In exchange, we welcome a donation to the student ministry which will in turn directly offset the cost of Summer camps and Mission trips for those students lending a hand. No job is too small, but for bigger jobs we do ask that the job be within reason for a group of students to complete within 4-6 hours. We provide the labor, you provide the opportunity for us to serve you! Here are the dates students will be available for service projects: May 5, and June 9. Please contact the Student Ministry office and we will be happy to connect students with those jobs you have been dreading all Winter. Let us Spring into action for you!
