Hello Prayer Partners, It has been a little while since our last update. We have finally developed our prayer covenant. We are trying to enlist 250 prayer partners for the church. If you would like to be a prayer partner, please email us the information requested in the covenant. HERE IS THE GREAT NEWS! True Life Church has launched its first public Bible study. We meet at the Alley (a popular bowling alley) on Thursday nights. We study the Bible and eat supper. Last week was the first meeting and we had 23 adults and children show up! We were expecting 10; God is far better than we deserve! After the study, we invited people to stick around and bowl with us. Almost everyone stayed until after 10 pm. It was a great time of fellowship. However, we quickly became aware of a significant problem. We were not prepared for babies! So, we are in need of a TLC baby shower We need a couple of playpens and some toys. Also, pray that people will invite their friends to join us in the coming weeks. Additionally, I have joined the Bel Aire Chamber of Commerce. Last week, I volunteered to serve the City of Bel Aire by manning a booth at the Wichita Home Show. When I had lunch with the Assistant City Manager of Bel Aire, he asked if our volunteers could assist in their city events this summer. Also, they are going to post our summer events on the city website. This is the start to a great relationship with the city. Finally, we have a few people that are praying about joining True Life. These are all guys that would be potential staff in the future. Pray that God gives us all wisdom as we discuss a future relationship. Here's how we are doing on our goals for June: Prayer Partners (0/250; this is based on the prayer covenants) Summer Mission Teams (6/10) Summer Interns (3/4; we are approaching the deadline for people to apply and we are praying for one for college guy to apply) Core Team Members (5/50) So, here is how you can pray for us: Pray that God leads 250 people to fill out the prayer covenant Pray that God would lead churches to assist us in impacting our community every week this summer. Pray that God leads one more college student to intern with us this summer. Pray that God would lead 45 more people to join our Core Team Pray that God brings the right partners to join us in leading True Life. Pray that God begins to provide a location and equipment for services. Thanks for all your prayers and support.
