XYZ/Sr. Adult Announcement Sheet March 23, 2010

Some new things going on.  

1.  On Friday, April 9, we will go to the Arkansas Arts Center to see the “World of the Pharaohs” exhibit.  The bus will leave promptly at 12:30 P.M. from the North parking lot.  The cost is $14 per person.  If you wish to have the audio tape it will be $17.  Sign up today.  

2.  Sr. Adult Day is scheduled for Sunday, May 2.  As we now have some in an 8:00 A.M. Sunday School class and some at 10:30, we plan to have hors d’oeuvres and fellowship at 10:40 and meal served at 11:50 with entertainment to follow.  You will be receiving your invitation with an RSVP card in the mail soon.  

3.  We have changed the trip scheduled with Diamond Tours to Colorado, to a trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan, during the fall foliage.  We think this will be a double-duty trip.  The cost is $599 plus trip insurance.  The dates are October 3-9, 2010.  Sign-up will begin immediately with $75 nonrefundable deposit due by June 16.  The balance will be due by August 1.  Flyers will be available soon.  Choose a roommate and get your name on the list.  

4.  We are cancelling the April potluck in favor of going to the Associational luncheon (free) in Lonoke on April 27.  The bus will leave the church at 9:15 a.m. to go to Lonoke Baptist Church.  There will be a short program beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Emil Turner as the guest speaker.  Lunch is catered by Bubba’s Bar-B-Q.  To sign-up call the church office or Helen Jones, 843.6304.   

5.  New officers were elected at the March potluck.  They are:
